Art Quilt Residency (formerly Art Quilt Campus)
(last updated September 22nd, 2019)
Art Quilt Campus, now Art Quilt Residency is an annual event organized by the author of this blog, Anna Hergert. 2017 marked the sixth consecutive year Art Quilt Campus was organized independently. In 2018 Art Quit Campus returned to a one-week-only event. At this time 2019 is fully subscribed. To be added to future mailouts pertaining to Art Quilt Campus events, please send me an email!
The History of Art Quilt Residency
In late July 2012, we started calling the event Art Quilt Campus when a small group of seven had the entire Emma Lake Campus to ourselves. After Emma Lake Kenderdine Campus closed in November 2012 an alternate venue was secured for one week. 12 participants gathered for five days at Shekinah Retreat Centre near Waldheim, SK. Please, scroll down on this page to find links to images from the first event.
2014 realized an unprecedented increase in interest, and it was decided to expand the event to two weeks. St. Peter’s Abbey in Muenster, SK east of Saskatoon, is where we now gather and grow our art quilt knowledge. Seasoned and beginner quilters alike are welcomed.

Past participants came from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Colorado. 2016 and 2017 participants hailed from B. C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
By 2016 AQC became a “by invitation only” event, please email Anna directly and she will add you to the list for 2018. Previous participants have first right of refusal – but don’t give up hope. 2017 welcomed several “newbies” during both weeks.
