Join in for a virtual trip to India and get introduced to the ancient quilting and embroidery technique that elevates recycling and reusing cloth to a fine art.

Hand quilters and embroiderers will embrace this simple, yet very effective method of embellishing fabric to create one of a kind pieces ready to incorporate into larger quilts, clothing or simply place into a frame.

Mystical Molas – Intro to Mola Making

SKILL LEVEL: ALL LEVELS (MUST HAVE BASIC HAND APPLIQUE SKILLS)

CLASS SIZE: 16 STUDENTS

DURATION: 2 DAYS / 12 HOURS (one day class is optional – please refer to special note in the PDF download)

MOLAs have been created by the Kuna Indians of Panama ever since they were introduced to fabrics. Colorful and intricate MOLAs attract attention! Combining vibrant colors and appliqué skills most of us have acquired in the past make this an easy technique to learn.
